TRYT Career Inc. (Head Office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Tokyo Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Hidetaka Sasai, hereinafter as TRYT Career), a leading provider of placement and temporary staffing services in the medical, welfare, and childcare industries, holds the Seminar on Certification in Nursing Care and provides information on certification in nursing care for people who are considering entering in the nursing care industry. At the first Seminar on Certification in Nursing Care held last September, about half of the participants completed the Training for New Nursing Care Workers, which is considered to be a gateway to the nursing care industry, and more than 100 people per month have started working in the nursing care industry through this program. TRYT will continue to support the “reskilling” policy announced by the Japanese Government and help solve social issues such as the shortage of workers in the nursing care industry.

*See below for an overview of the seminar

    ◆Background
The demand for nursing care workers continues to grow as Japan’s elderly population increases. In 2022, the ratio of job openings in nursing care to applicants was about 4 times*1, and a shortage of about 690,000*2 nursing care workers is predicted for 2040. Nursing care facilities are broadly accepting workers from other industries, who do not have specific experiences or qualifications in this field, along with experienced nursing care workers, in order to prevent the worsening of working conditions due to the labor shortage and to stop the vicious cycle of personnel shortages. The field of nursing care increasingly needs to hire people with qualifications and people who have completed training programs in order to provide safer and better nursing care.

◆The Center for Training in Nursing Care

The Center assists people who are interested in working in the nursing care industry to become certified and it assists them in finding employment once they are certified. Courses are available in all 47 of Japan’s prefectures. A total of about 2,000 people have completed a course, more than 80% of whom are working in the nursing care industry. In addition, this learning opportunity has a special admissions program that waives tuition fees under certain conditions, and many students have taken advantage of this program to start their careers in the nursing industry.
