A new development in TRYT’s direct recruiting service

Addressing labor shortages in the medical and welfare industry—Responding to the employment needs of potential workers with qualifications—

TRYT Inc. (Tokyo Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hidetaka Sasai), a leading placement company and digital solutions provider for the medical and welfare industries, has announced that it will reinforce its direct recruiting service to enhance employment support as part of its efforts to address labor shortages in the medical and welfare industry.

In Japan, the working population is expected to decrease due to the declining birthrate and aging population. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s survey on companies’ views on the surplus/shortage of regular employees, etc. has found that among all industries, the sense of a labor shortage is the highest in the medical and welfare industry.*¹ Looking at the employment situation in the medical and welfare industry, there are many people who have qualifications but have given up working due to life stage changes, and support for their potential employment needs is required.

The TRYT Group started a job placement business specializing in the medical and welfare industry in 2006, and holds one of the industry’s largest market shares in job search support service for nurses, caregivers, and childcare workers. At TRYT, each sales representative (hereinafter “career advisor”) provides dedicated fine-tuned support for both job seekers and employers, by taking into consideration not only the desired employment conditions for job seekers, but also the policies and activities of individual facilities. TRYT also provides support for potential workers holding qualifications to help them return to work.

In order to better respond to the challenges faced by the industry, in addition to its existing job placement service, TRYT will strengthen its direct recruiting services. By incorporating the know-how and knowledge the company has cultivated in its job placement business, TRYT aims to provide an easy-to-use direct recruiting service, and to contribute to streamline the costs of recruitment activities*² in the digital space.

TRYT acquired HAB & Co., Inc., a company that develops HR tech services in 2021, and has since been working to build a foundation in this field. In 2022, TRYT acquired WELKS Co., Ltd.,^*3 a provider of direct recruiting services in the childcare field, and started a direct recruiting service for childcare workers. In February 2023, TRYT launched a direct recruiting service for nurses and care workers on “TRYT Worker,” a comprehensive service site for job seekers in the medical and welfare industry. In terms of functionality, it boasts automated scouting to ensure optimal matches that meet the needs of job seekers and companies, as well as a detailed search function for employment conditions to better respond to the needs of people with qualifications who are planning to return to their jobs in the medical and welfare industry. Going forward, TRYT will further improve the service’s functionality, including utilizing AI in the matching function, automating application handling, and expanding the types of jobs supported, to provide better job opportunities.

The TRYT Group will continue to address the challenges arising from the labor shortages in the medical and welfare industry and strive to contribute to the creation of a comfortable working environment in the industry.
