~ Eight new bases for strengthening regional expansion to be opened, and the industry’s first DX service for preventing employee turnover to be launched in 2021 ~

TRYT Group (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; Tokyo Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hidetaka Sasai), a major recruiting and temporary staffing service provider in the fields of caregiving, health care, and childcare, posted sales of 33 billion yen and 18% year-on-year growth in FY2020 (January – December 2020) under a new management system that was reformed from 2019 through 2020. With this, FY2020 marks the 17th consecutive year that we have achieved increased income and profit since our company was founded. Growth factors include our quick response to the rapid change and transformation of the market throughout the year due to the coronavirus pandemic by referring the appropriate personnel to client hospitals and nursing homes, and improving productivity through the digital transformation (DX) of operations, such as the introduction of cloud-based human resources management software. In addition, while we were able maintain growth, we also took measures to strengthen governance. In 2021, we plan to open eight bases to reinforce our expansion into rural areas which are suffering from a widening gap in caregiving and health care services with urban areas, and aim to transform the caregiving, health care, and childcare industries digitally by providing products such as the industry’s first service that will prevent employee turnover.

Founded in 2004, our company began with the business of recruiting and temporary staffing services in the construction industry. In 2006, we expanded our services to the caregiving, health care, and childcare industries where there has been a conspicuous shortage in human resources. Thus far, we have supported the recruitment of personnel for about 34,000 facilities.

In FY2020, we at TRYT Group actively recruited experienced personnel from outside the company and promoted our businesses. With regard to external personnel, Takaaki Inoue, former managing executive director at the major recruitment firm ManpowerGroup Co., Ltd., Kimihiro Horiuchi, former executive officer at Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd., Yuko Odamura, former human resources vice president at Medtronic Japan Co., Ltd., and Reiri Miura, former corporate planning chief at a health care startup under Softbank, joined our company as executive officers. Together with our current executives at TRYT, we have created a diverse management team and have strengthened our management system toward further company growth. In the midst of the emergency declaration due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, we have provided M&A services to prevent companies from going bankrupt and to support diversification, and fostered business partnerships to promote DX in the caregiving industry. In addition, we opened branches in rural areas (Takasaki, Okayama and Kagoshima) where there is growing demand for employment. These factors have contributed to our sales exceeding 33 billion yen, representing an 18% growth year-on-year. Furthermore, by launching a specialized organization that aims to strengthen our governance, and appointing outside directors and establishing a board of auditors, we have realized the separation of ownership and management, built an appropriate monitoring system, and promoted women participation by appointing one female auditor and two female executives.

In 2021, we will take new initiatives that are pillared on “strengthening regional expansion” and “promotion of DX in the industry” while enhancing our existing businesses. Regarding the strengthening of regional expansion, we will utilize the regional expansion know-how that we have pioneered in the industry, and launch eight new bases in addition to our existing 43 bases in a bid to solve the issue on regional disparity in caregiving and health care services. To promote DX in the industry, we will offer the first DX service in the industry that aims to prevent caregivers from leaving their job, and expand our DX service to improve workplace environment and boost work efficiency in the caregiving, health care, childcare, and construction industries. With these initiatives, our plan is not only to further grow as a company, but also to contribute to the attainment of the SDGs (sustainable development goals), set up an office to support the participation of women, and focus on offering career support to female employees through our businesses.

The year 2020 marked the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, emergency declarations, a temporary decrease in the number of patients and users, and the second wave of the pandemic. It was a year of drastic changes in the environment for all industries, especially for everyone in the health care and welfare industry. We believe that our company managed to achieve approximately 20% in growth thanks to the ability of our employees to respond flexibly and quickly to these drastic changes, and the strength of the mutual desire among our employees to help solve the problems of our client firms and facilities.
